The launch date for PUBG Mobile’s updated Battlegrounds Mobile India avatar has once again been announced. The popular battle royale game has been provoking its revival for some time now, but no official launch date has been yet announced. A new leak claims that Battlegrounds Mobile India will launch within the country on June 18, confirming previous leaks which made similar claims. Last year, PUBG Mobile India was banned by the government among other apps and games, due to data privacy concerns for their connection to China.

Popular PUBG Mobile influencer and tipster, Sagar Thakur aka Maxtern tweeted a binary code that converts to 18062021. His tweet shows that Battlegrounds Mobile India could launch on 18th June. This tweet was first spotted by IGN India, an equivalent post that also hinted at an equivalent date last month, citing anonymous sources. Additionally, content creator Abhijeet Andhare (@GHATAK_official) also tweeted that the launch could happen sometime in a period of the third week of June.

Pre-registrations for the game began on 18 May on the Google Play Store, and Battlegrounds Mobile India is expected to go live exactly one month later, if the leaks has any weight. South Korean developer Krafton still has to share a release date, but he’s been teasing aspects of the game for some time from now. The last teaser showed an important in-game element for the battle royale experience: a level 3 backpack. Backpacks are among the most important beginning items in Battles Royals because they give the player inventory space to transport items. The highest capacity backpack is A level 3 backpack which players can find in the game.

The Google Play Store listing for Battlegrounds Mobile India shows the minimum requirements for playing the game smoothly. This includes an Android phone running Android 5.1.1 or higher with at least RAM of 2 GB. Krafton has previously teased PUBG Mobile’s Erangel and Sanhok maps, although the latter will be called Erangle in Battlegrounds Mobile India.
