Oppo may be working on an as yet unannounced smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC, a tipster told on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. Last month, the company launched the Oppo K9 5G the only Oppo phone to feature the Snapdragon 768G SoC. The processor of the mobile is relatively new as it was not announced last month and only a few phones powered by it are currently available in the market. But, with the latest leak, it seems that Oppo will be adding another phone to the list and the tipster has also shared key specs for this one.

The claimed Oppo phone, according to the Weibo post from known tipster Arsenal, will feature a 6.43-inch Samsung E1 Pro AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It can be generated by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC and comes with 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup that includes a Samsung GW3 main sensor of 64-megapixel, an 8-megapixel Hynix Hi846 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Up front, the unnamed Oppo phone could carry a Sony IMX615 sensor of 32-megapixel for selfies and video calls.

The tipster also shared that the phone can be backed up by a battery of 4,500mAh that supports 50W fast charging. It could come with one speaker that supports Dolby Panoramic sound. Its thickness can be 7.9mm and weighs 174 grams.

This Oppo mystery phone can cost CNY 2,499 (around Rs 28,700) for the storage model of 12GB + 256GB. It is not known if there will be other variations for the phone.

While some of the specs of this Oppo phone are alike to the recently launched Oppo K9 5G, it does come with a few upgrades. The new phone has the same camera setup as the Oppo K9 5G, but is expected to come with more RAM, a faster refresh rate of 120Hz compared to 90Hz, and a larger 4,500mAh battery compared to the 4,300mAh of the Oppo K9 5G. However, the leak shows slower charging support of 50W compared to 65W fast charging on the Oppo K9 5G. This unnamed phone is the same thickness and weighs a little more than the Oppo K9 5G. It could be another Oppo K9 series phone. The company has yet to make any announcements.
